Narsi Kularia, originally from Nokha village near Bikaner district, Rajasthan, is a self-made entrepreneur who transformed India’s fit-out and interiors industry through his craftsmanship and vision.

Education: He studied only up to Grade 10, but inherited traditional woodworking skills from his Suthar (carpenter) community.

Journey to Mumbai: In 1981, he moved to Mumbai carrying nothing but his carpentry skills and determination. He began with small, family-run assignments, laying the foundation for what would later become a nationwide enterprise.

  • 1983: Worked on a project in Oman, where he gained exposure to modern construction methods and the importance of time-bound execution.
  • 1986: Founded Narsi & Associates, his first formal venture in interior contracting. The first major project — Lubrizol (Navi Mumbai) — proved to be a turning point.
  • By 1994, his firm was working with leading institutions such as IDBI, ICICI, SBI, Standard Chartered Bank, and the National Stock Exchange, delivering high-quality interior and fit-out projects across Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Goa, and other cities.

Today, Narsi Group is a diversified organization with an annual turnover of about ₹650 crore (≈ US $62 million), offering interior contracting, furniture manufacturing, and turnkey design-build services.
