Sandeep Jangra: From a Small-Town Boy to the Owner of a ₹25 Crore Pizza Empire

Sandeep Jangra, hailing from Gohana, a small town in Haryana’s Sonipat district, is today the proud founder of Pizza Galleria, a pizza brand with a turnover of over ₹25 crore. But his journey to success was far from easy — it was filled with struggles, failures, and unwavering determination.

Sandeep comes from a lower-middle-class family. His father worked as a carpenter, making traditional wooden cots. Despite working hard, the family often struggled to make ends meet. To support his family financially, Sandeep started working in a factory at a very young age — without informing his parents.

Inspired by his friends, he enrolled in an engineering college in 2009. However, academics didn’t interest him, and he kept failing exams. What was supposed to be a 4-year degree took him 6–7 years to complete. After graduating, he got a job in Gurugram with a monthly salary of ₹9,000. Even after working for two years, his salary remained the same. His income barely covered his expenses, which left him demotivated. Eventually, he quit his job and returned home — without telling his family, which led to scolding from his father.

In 2015, while living in Gurugram, Sandeep tasted pizza for the first time. He was instantly drawn to the flavor and the way vegetables were used in it. That moment sparked a business idea — why not start a pizza outlet in his hometown of Gohana? Determined to make it happen, he took proper training in pizza-making. His mother supported him wholeheartedly, even selling her jewelry to help fund his dream.

That same year, Sandeep launched the first Pizza Galleria outlet in Gohana. Before opening, he strategically marketed the idea of pizza to the local people, which helped him get a great response from day one. Encouraged by the success, he opened a second outlet in Sonipat and gradually began expanding.

Today, Pizza Galleria has 32 outlets across India and provides employment to over 600 people. The brand gained even more popularity after Sandeep appeared on the business reality show Shark Tank India. With a current annual turnover of ₹25 crore, the company stands as a symbol of what can be achieved with vision and resilience.

Sandeep’s journey proves that failure is not the end — with courage, hard work, and the right mindset, success is always within reach.
