Raj Jangid ‘Sorkhi’
Raj Jangid ‘Sorkhi’, born on 11 November 1979 in Delhi and currently residing in Village Sorkhi, District Hansi (near Bamla, Bhiwani), is the son of Late Subedar Shri Dharampal Singh and Late Smt. Dhanpati Devi. He is a man of multifaceted personality who has established a distinct identity as a dedicated teacher, talented actor, skilled director, and a renowned poet. Despite possessing diverse talents, he is known for his calm, humble, and deeply committed nature.
His academic achievements are highly commendable. He holds degrees such as M.A. (English), B.Ed., D.Ed./JBT, M.Sc. (Computer Science – Gold Medalist), and M.Phil. In addition, he has successfully cleared the HTET examination six times, demonstrating his academic excellence and strong determination.
His contributions to the fields of art and literature are equally inspiring. In 2012, he was selected among India’s Top 25 Handsome Models. He worked as an Assistant Director in the Bollywood project Bliss and has showcased his talent in several TV serials and music albums. He has also been a registered fashion model with MFM (Men Fashion Modelling), Mumbai.
He has achieved excellence in dance and fine arts as well—winning the title of Best Dancer (1st Position) in a TV show and securing first position in painting at the Haryana state level.
In the literary domain, his creativity has received notable recognition. For his poem “Lakeerein,” he was honored with the Best Young Poet Award by the renowned litterateur Himanshu Joshi. His work “Bhanwar” has been published in a magazine in the Netherlands. His poems, ghazals, muktaks, and articles are regularly featured in national newspapers, magazines, and social media platforms. His writing carries a unique impact that deeply resonates with readers.
His practical life experiences further enrich his personality. From running a small shop to gaining experience in various businesses and jobs, he has developed a grounded and practical perspective towards life.
