Satisha Devi Jangra: An Inspiring Journey of Social Service and Leadership (Nagar Parsad Ward no. 2 Uchana Mandi, Jind)
Satisha Devi Jangra was born in Alewa village, Jind district of Haryana, into a humble farming family. Her father was engaged in agriculture, and from childhood, she imbibed the values of hard work, honesty, and a spirit of service. She has completed her education up to a Bachelor’s degree.
Satisha married Shri Surendra Jangra of Gogadia village (Uchana Mandi), Jind, who is a government teacher by profession and a strong supporter of her endeavors.
Her social and political journey began in 2005, when she won the Block Committee elections and was unanimously elected as the Block Committee Chairperson. Since then, she has remained actively involved in leadership and public service.
2012–2014 – Served as the State Vice President (Women’s Wing) of the Backward Class Association.
2017–2019 – Served as a member of the Backward Class State Executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
2022 – Elected as Municipal Councillor from Ward No. 2, Uchana Mandi, Jind district, marking her entry into the municipal body.
2025 – Appointed as a member of the Haryana Grievances Committee.
2025 – Became the Secretary of the BJP General Body.
A notable chapter in her social life came when Dr. Sher Singh Jangra served as the State President of the All India Jangid Brahmin Association; during his tenure, Satisha Devi played a significant role as the Women’s State Vice President.
Despite her modest background, her dedication, struggle, and unwavering commitment have established her as a strong female leader in society. She continues to actively serve the community, striving to bring positive change in people’s lives.
