Shri Shrichand Jangid, born on April 6, 1944, in Jawahar Nagar (Patherwa) village of Mahendragarh district, is an experienced social worker and political leader from Haryana. He is a graduate and is associated with the 69-Mahendragarh (General) Assembly constituency, which falls under the Bhiwani–Mahendragarh parliamentary region.

In his professional career, he served as Executive Officer-cum-Secretary in the Haryana Marketing Board until April 30, 2002. From May 2002 to April 2004, he worked as the Coordinator for South Haryana in the Unemployed Organisation and as the District President of the Social Justice Forum.

His contribution to the social sphere has also been remarkable. From 2004 to 2006, he served as the District President of the Jangid Brahmin Zila Sabha, Rewari. Since November 12, 2006, he has been serving as the State President of the Jangid Samaj, Pradesh Sabha Haryana. He is also currently the Chairman of the Backward Class Association, Haryana, and continues to organise social programs for the welfare of the Jangid community as well as the backward classes.

In politics, Shri Jangid was the District Spokesperson of the Congress Party until 2005 and the District Secretary until November 12, 2006. Since his college days, he has actively participated in all election campaigns of the Congress Party in Haryana. After delimitation, 25 villages from the Satnali area, which earlier belonged to the Loharu Assembly constituency, were included in the Mahendragarh constituency. Due to his strong support base in this region, he has expressed his wish to contest elections from Mahendragarh.

He has always strived to ensure that candidates from the Jangid community secure victory in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. With his experience, social connection, and widespread support, Shri Shrichand Jangid is confident that as a Congress candidate from Mahendragarh, he can emerge as a strong and victorious leader.
